BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO DOCG 2015 91pts
Tasted by Michaela Morris (at Chiostro Museo di Montalcino, 21 Feb 2020).
Patrizia Cencioni inherited the Solaria property when her fatherpassed away in 1990. At the time, it was part of the Capanna estate but she decided to break away and start her own label.
She had just turned 20 years old. The 2015 vintage is fragrant and approachable, with attractive mint, fennel and black cherry nuances. Seductively textured with generous fruit and ripe, integrated tannins, this offers more vibrancy than Solaria’s ’30 Anni’ Brunello.
