GRAPE VARIETY: Pinot nero: small, cylindrical cluster with small, eggshaped
berries which are black-purple; simple flavor
VINE TRAINING SYSTEM Guyot- simple Cappuccina, medium-intense
plant density, short or medium pruning which is not rich in buds.
HARVEST PERIOD: First period of maturation, early-middle of
September
VINIFICATION: The de-stemmed berries macerate for two weeks; at
the end of fermentation they are drawn
COLOR: Light garnet red, transparent.
AROMA: Of ripe fruit and cherry fruit preserves.
TASTE: Slightly spiced with inklings of hazelnut and walnut husks, wellstructured,
mellow and full-bodied
SERVE WITH: Savory pasta dishes, barley and beans, game, roasted
and boiled meats
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 12-14°
ALCHOL CONTENT: 13%
