Area of Production: Vineyards of Monteprandone hills – Ascoli Piceno – Marche
Grapes: Selection of red grapes – Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Merlot (produced in extremely limited quantities only)
Soil Composition: Medium consistency with streaks of clay
Vinification and Production: Soft pressing of the selected grapes , slow fermentation for 15-25 days at controlled temperature (22-28°C.), ageing in oak wood butts for 16-24 months, refining 12 months in bottle.
Organoleptic Description: Deep ruby colour with purple tints, intense and persistent scents of black – currant, plum and syrup fruit in perfect harmony with vanilla and liquorice spices. Powerful and aromatic taste, with a body of great structure, soft velvety and spicy aftertaste.
